April 29th at the ‘The Bear”

The Great Lakes Tour managed to avoid the rain for the first time in the 2013 season! Event registration brought a strong field with Danny King, Zoltan Veress, Michael Gligic and Victor Ciesielski on the roster.  Ben Ferguson of Ancaster took the win shooting 67.  Michael Gligic, David Sheman and Ben Moser tie for second with scores of 69. Despite Ferguson’s win, we will call Moser player of the game as he drove back from Texas, arriving the morning of, to play the Great Lakes Tour event.

Turnberry’s Intended 36-Hole Day

Wednesday, April 24th was our scheduled 36-Hole Kick Off.  Brampton’s Turnberry Golf Course,  was well received among our Pro’s. Everyone coming off sharing their praise for the fun course – one player even went so far to call it “cute!”, but we won’t be naming names.  The morning started off great; cloudy with an acceptable temperature of 9 degrees.  Yes, rain was forecasted and we thought we were going to avoid it.  Nope.  Mother nature came in on a broomstick and shut us down. Luckily all players were able to get through the first round.  Eric Ross and Michael Gligic came out on top with scores of 56.  To view the leaderboard, click here.
